In brief: Dennis McCoy has been riding professionally since 1986. Over the course of his career he has won multiple titles in Vert, Park, Dirt and Flatland. He is one of the oldest, but yet most diversified riders competing. He has medaled five times at XG and has competed in every X Games since 1995.
In 2002, he has been plagued by recurring wrist injuries, but is expected to be 100% by XG VIII.
Quote: "My motivation can be a totally different thing on any given day. The sport constantly changes. Everything changes, the bikes, the ramps, the trends and sometimes riding even takes a step backwards. The sport is always changing, and from that standpoint, you can't help be stay motivated. I guess it really comes down to the love of riding. I'm always motivated, I've taken my grips to the doctors office so my casts can be formed so I can still hold on."
