During this time I was a regular patron of the World Discotheque in Kassel which is where I first made contact with the resident DJ Chilly T who was a great inspiration to me and with whom I still have various projects running. After I had first met Chilly-T, I was immediately taken by the ambition to make a name for myself as a DJ. Two hours practice on the turntables every day for the next year and I felt I was ready. In the summer of 1993 I finally took
the plunge and entered a local DJing competition as the youngest participant, I came in third. Encouraged by what I felt and the crowd's feedback I began taking part in any and every DJ battle in the region. This was the start of my career. I was mixing my battling with some residencies in a few local clubs as these were two different pairs of shoes, both of which fit me. By 1994 I had stepped up a league, no longer playing at friends' parties or school
dances, now performing in front of 1200 people at Da Jam, as the World Discotheque had then been renamed. I continued my regular stint there until well into 1996 when I started accepting bookings from outside the
region and soon became resident at the Cafe "Unterwegs" Club in downtown Fulda. Meanwhile, on the international scene, I decided to have a go at the German DMC championships together with DJ Mem-Brain, we thought it would be a laugh going to Bochum, a mid-German city for the weekend, and maybe having some fun. As it turned out we finished first as a team.
That was a pivotal point in my career as we had qualified for the DJing world championships in Rimini, Italy, where we finished among the top ten best DJ teams in the world. I decided to enter the German battle again in 1997, this time on my own, and again finished as German
champion. So off I went to Rimini where I once again made it to the finals. My brightest memory of the trip however was meeting DJ's like Roc Raida, A-Trak and Q-Bert (Word whitey! )Later that year I found a new club in Hannover which was looking for fresh blood to pick it up some, the Mix One, Mix Two which was the club
of the local sender Jam FM. A short fling turned into a three year residency during which I got to know the Classical Leader, with whom I'm still working up until this day. 1997 up to 2000 I saw me travelling the circuit having accepted many bookings from further a field as well as
playing my resident club.
I partook in the German DMC Battles every year until 2000 as well as the ITF Battles from '98 on. My work with Chilly T took on a new dimension as we released some mixes together on Phlatline, but most of the jams came from me. I hooked up with a lot of people during this time who would prove to be influential in scene in time to come, if they weren't already. My last Battle attack came in 2000; I came third in both Battles I had entered which encouraged me to broaden my horizons a bit having maxed out what I could achieve in what I was doing. DJ Groove (Jam FM, Berlin), Lifeforce (Cologne), the Needle Addicts (Munich) and myself hooked up fairly solid for the next while and we did some touring together. I had to kick that back a bit when I got two new residencies in 2001, at the Blaque in Kassel and the Magic in Menteroda, and this on top of my regular national bookings!
So what's 2004 bringing? I'm concentrating mainly on my bookings, travelling the length and breadth of Germany, Switzerland and Austria on a weekly basis, playing the Clubs. MC René asked me back in '02 if I would DJ for him, since then I'm his man for the turntables and went on the road with him and the K-Ring(S) Brothers
for a month in May of that year. My other involvement is with the Rhein-Main radio station Planet, producing their weekly Black-Beats show together with two other DJ's. The show can be heard throughout mid-Germany every Friday from 23:00-01:00.
