In 1999 DJ Kid and DJ Original founded the Royal Team and in 2002 DJ Flava was the new edition to the team. Flava learned his tricks from DJ Original and that is the reason why DJ Flava is now a member of the Royal Team.
DJ Kid
At the moment I'm a resident DJ for the Sinners in Amsterdam every Thursday Night and Fridays at the Ministry. I'm pretty much all over the place. One time you'll see me at a party in Amsterdam or you can find me at a Club in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium or London.
Saturdays I'm the resident DJ in the Club called "El Cubanito" in Zurich/ Switzerland.
During the week I'm working as a General Manager at Floor Fillers DJ Pool.
I've been in the game for 11 years now. Survived a lot of hate and envy, but you can't keep a strong black man down.
DJ Original
DJ Original is a well known R&B and HipHop DJ, and in reason years he has build up his name outside the Netherlands. It all started in October 1978, when his mom gave birth to him in Amsterdam. At the age of 16, he started experimenting in the music scene, which turn him in to the DJ we know now. His first major gig was in his hometown Almere in the Club Theatre Café, where his rollercoaster ride started. The day he met Dj Kid, his World opened up. And from that day they were inseparable when it came to parties and radio shows.
DJ Flava
It all started out at the age of 7. That's when this little kid called Ivo came in touch with 2 turntables and a mixer. It was at a Birthday Party from his niece and one of his cousins was DJing for her. He admired what his cousin was doing with the records (blending, scratching, and cutting). And then came the moment that his cousin asked him if he wanted to put a record on. He did the job and from that moment it was his first love.
Through al the years he was scratching al the records that he found at home with the old school turntable from his mom.
At the age of 15 he bought his first records (Black Men United - U will Know & Zhané - Shame). From that time he knew almost all the basic stuff that he needed to know. Around that time he came in touch with long-time friend Jimmy (Dj Original). Who was spinning that time for 2 years. Jimmy taught him the things that he didn't know. Jimmy hooked up with Sergio (Dj Kid). And then he started playing in clubs.
