In case you didn't know, DJ Ev is recognized worldwide for producing some of the finest hip hop mixtapes. He has earned respect and acknowledgement far beyond his native Long Island, NY through his numerous accomplishments and collaborations since the age of 18.

He was part of the infamous 'ChopShop' radio show (90.1 WUSB New York) where he played alongside DJ Mista Sinista of the X-ecutioners. The display of skills on the show led to Ev laying down scratches for artisis such as P.R.T., Cutty Ranks and Bounty Killer to name a few. At age 19, his mix tape 'Hotter This Year' was an incredibly advanced mix tape featuring unheard exclusives along with intricate cutting styles and Ev's precisely formatted mixing technique.

The highly sought after 'Hotter This Year series went on to receive write ups in magazines such as On The Go and Rap Pages. A year later at the age of 20, Ev and world famous DJ Stretch Armstrong collaborated on a mix tape that would change the face of the underground New York mix tape scene. Their joint effort 'Back 2 Back' has sold an unprecedented amount worldwide and has been deemed classic by many mix tape conniseurs. This tape also led to Ev's nomition for 'Best New Mixtape DJ' in the Mixtape Awards arranged by Atlantic Records.

Fellow Long Islander and hip hop legend Erick Sermon chose Ev as his DJ and for the Def Squad's (E.Sermon, Redman and Keith Murray) 1997 tour of Japan consisting of 14 shows in one month. Some of Ev's work can also be heard on a few of Erick and Keith's classic albums. In January 1998, DJ Honda brought in Ev to showcase his talents among the likes of DJ's Roc Raida and Mista Sinista as well as world famous emcees like De La Soul and KRS-1 on DJ Honda's second album HII, on Relativity records.

Not only a mixtape DJ, Ev has branched into the production/breakbeat arena, dropping club anthems such as 'Bang Rock The House' (Sure Shot) and 'It's About Ta Get Hot' (AV-8). Ev has recently collaborated with World famous DJ Funkmaster Flex along with Def Jam's Noreaga on their joint effort 'Big Dawg Vol 5' and has his own radio show 'Worldwide Radio' (105.3 WXXP New York). Expect to hear much more from this 24 year old Long Islander for years to come...
