Born raphael gonzalez in los angeles,doo wop,a.k.a the bouncemaster, a.k.a the mixtape scarface , is one of the east coast's premier dj´s and original tapemasters.
When his family moved to the bronx, wop immediately became involved with the music that was happening there. At the young age of nine, doo wop listened to the bee gees, michael jackson and rap music and decided he had to be a part of it. His supportive parents bought him turntables and his career was launched by the age of 16, doo wop was djing locally for kids at schoolyards and house parties.
In 1988 doo wop made his first mixtape and the streets took notice.
Since then, he was wreaked havoc with best selling mixtapes like '95 live' ,'face off with flex' and 'wopuizm pt 1' featuring artists like busta rhymes, shabba ranks, mobb deep, big pun, fat joe, the notorious b.i.g. and wop´s own crew; the bounce squad. Wop´s regulation grew quickly and soon he was playing up and down the east coast and as faraway as north carolina, viriginia, atlanta and even germany and switzerland.
Wop djs weekly at club speed in manhatten and frequently out of state.recently he tore it down at bad boy´s Christmas party and puffy´s party in Atlanta for the opening of his restaurant justin´s. He also tours with lablemate canibus this summer he can be found on the set at the legendery rucker´s basketball tournement, while his first love is spinning,wop can hold his own on the mic as well as the wheels of steel.his ability to juggle both production and rapping duties is something that sets him apart. 'I take rapping seriously, that's the biggest difference between me and other dj's. I'm trying to bring the same adrenaline to my album that I get from rippin down the set!! This past spring he scored a hit with his collaboration with tony touch on 'the diaz brothers'.
