DJ RAZZ (A.K.A MAXIMUM FORCE / ROC STEADI) BASED IN N.W LONDON, AGED 24 YRS

I have been a disc jockey for just over eight years, I started of disc jockeying on the Asian circuit which involved playing out at day time and night time gigs which were held in major night clubs such as Hippodrome, Astoria. Busbys' (LA2), Limelight and Empire (Equinox). I was a resident DJ at Bagleys Warehouse Kings Cross for Hoo Haa promotions, my responsibilities included setting the time slots for various DJ's and organising the sound equipment that would be used.

As my collection of music began to grow, I started to take on private function bookings such as weddings, birthday parties and other special occasions. I think that this was the point where I began to gain more confidence playing for different types of crowds and this also helped me fund my future music aspirations.
I was then approached and asked to produce some Asian re-mixes, which meant that I would have to start working in a studio. This was a major turning point in my music career as I got to work with Noel Ram. A renowned drum and bass producer his company name is Ram Productions / Total Ideas. Noel taught me all the practical knowledge that I would need to produce re-mixes. Once 1 had finished with the project, I got an opportunity to produce drum and bass with Noel Ram.
After working in a studio, I felt it was time that I gained some sort of qualification in Sound Engineering. After a lone search to find a suitable course I found one in Paddington College, once I would complete this course I would gain a City and Guilds. This course gave me all the theory on studio equipment, which combined with the practical knowledge, gave me the chance to work on my own in a studio.

Whilst disc jockeying at clubs and private functions I was able to get slots on several underground and community radio stations.
Radio Bears 1994 (community radio) various slots
Hype FM 199 (community radio) various slots
Supreme FM 1998 (pirate radio) every Tuesday 10pm to 12am
Delight FM 1999 (pirate radio) every Monday 10pm to 12am
MAC FM 1999/2000 (pirate radio) every Friday tam to 4am
UK Rumbal at present (Internet radio) every Monday 10pm to 12am & every 2nd Friday 9.30pm to 11pm Currently on UK Rumbal I have been asked to host a show on Mondays, which is called Underground UK Garage artists. I would be interviewing people involved in the world of garage ranging from DJ's, MC's, vocalists, producers, promoters, specialist garage music shops and distributors.

Being involved in the world of music has its benefits as I have made good contacts and new friends. I have teamed up with a friend and we are working on some garage re-mixes' under Roc Steadi Records. We have made several 12-inch singles, which have been released into the underground scene and have gained some recognition for our work. Whilst working with Roc Steadi I have set up my own record label known as RR Records (Rollin Rinsin). I have released five twelve-inch singles of which I have produced four of them. I have also worked in collaboration with TOT Records on a project in which I co-produced a track along with Rema (Roc Steadi), Tansay (T.OY) and Jem (T.O.T). This track is due to release on the next T.O.T EP out in July.

Finally, to sum myself up I would say that I am enthusiastic, hard working and dedicated to music. I love to hear different ideas from others not only garage music but all types of music. I am also keen to work with MCs' and vocalists, I feel having a broad outlook in the music world is to my benefit as I like to get ideas and keep in touch with how, music is developing and changing as time goes on, so as long as it keeps on going 1 will keep on going with my love for music.

Thank you for your support
