The Brothers

RDB are essentially a group of three Sikh brothers from Leeds; Kuly, Manj and Surj who over the past four years have been performing, producing and djing for thousands of people in the worlds top nightclubs, festivals and parties.

Originally club DJs, the RDB brothers play a blend of Bhangra, House, Garage, Hindi, Bollywood, RnB, Hiphop, Ragga and Dance music, but with a skilful difference. Even having firmly established a fan base worldwide, the RDB team still represent their own country, the UK, where they have performed in almost every top club known to the clubbing world.

RDB – The Background

RDB (Rhythm Dhol and Bass) have already established themselves has a household name in the UK and International bhangra scene as one of the most talented production and entertainment groups of their time by uniquely fusing together several hundred years of traditional Sikh folk music with the heaviest basses, crispest snares and hypest MC rhymes British music has to offer.

Over the past two years they've sold over 150,000 copies of their albums - available independently of HMV or Virgin, rocked roughly 400-odd parties across the UK and spread the RDB flava to literally thousands of bhangra fans worldwide in countries such as USA, Canada, Europe, Pakistan, India, Singapore, Malasia, Hong Kong, Manila and Australia. As well as that, they have featured on various top selling asian music compilations and produced music for a few motion pictures as well !

RDB – The Sound

As British-born musicians, they are able to draw on the cultural heritage of their forefathers to create exciting new fusions. RDB have radically pioneered the style of British bhangra by remoulding it into a raw, urban sound which makes their albums stand out from the crowd.

Street-style Hiphop, two and four step vocal house and garage, dirty basslines, crisp original production and sharp beats are all aspects of “The RDB Sound” which is adored by thousands of fans everywhere. With a fan-base ranging from 8 year olds right up to mums and dads, their music has an element of both ‘street-style’ music production but, more importantly, also has lyrical content that can be appreciated at every age.
